Follow the M6 from Yerevan, you will pass a left hand turn to Odzun, pass through the village of Sanahin station,  keep going straight on and you will reach a 'fork' in the road (the hospital is sign posted on the left hand), follow the main road (the 'right side'), pass various buildings on your left and the River Debed will be on your right. Approx 100m from this turning, turn right over the metal bridge and turn to right after the bridge to go to the upper part of Alaverdi and Sanahin.
